Long Island saw a sizable in increase in sales, Long Island home prices remained flat last month.
The median price of homes contracted for sale in Suffolk County in April was $325,000, the same as the median price from a year ago, according to the latest numbers from the Multiple Listing Service of Long Island.
Sales were strong. There were 2,425 homes contracted for sale in April, a jump of 7.7 percent from the 2,251 pending sales contracted a year ago.
Inventory remained stable. There were 17,444 homes listed for sale with MLSLI at the end of April, about 1.1 percent more than the 17,250 homes listed for sale in April 2014.
